The Hydra-Flex Machete hydro-excavation nozzle moves a concentrated stream back and forth in a 15° wedge, combining the cutting and penetration of a straight tip with more coverage than a stationary stream. This linear oscillating action makes the Machete a practical tool for trenching, bell holes, sloping, finish work, and breaking through caliche and other hard soils.
The linear oscillating hydro-excavation nozzle operates from 1,000 to 3,200 PSI and 3.0 to 8.9 GPM, with #6.0, #8.0, and #10.0 nozzle sizes available to match different hydro-vac systems. A stainless steel housing stands up to harsh working conditions, while tungsten carbide wear surfaces are built for long service life. The replaceable nylon cover helps protect operators and underground utilities, and an inlet screen helps keep contaminants out of the nozzle. The Machete uses a 1/2" FNPT inlet and handles water temperatures up to 180°F.
