Description

Manufactured by Jetters Northwest, the BRUTE Propane Portable Cart Jetter gives contractors a mobile sewer jetter powered by propane instead of gasoline. Choose the 3508LP for 8.5 GPM at 3,500 PSI or the 3010LP for 10 GPM at 3,000 PSI. Both models run a 25 HP, 747cc Kohler propane-fueled V-twin engine paired with a UDOR Super-Duty pump and gearbox drive.

The four-wheel cart carries 300 feet of 3/8" ID jetting hose, a 12-gallon onboard water buffer tank, and a removable 30-lb. horizontal propane tank. The buffer tank includes a float valve for direct filling from a hose bib and provides an easy connection point for an auxiliary water tank.

Jetting and engine controls are mounted together on the machine, including flow control, engine start/stop, throttle adjustment, pressure adjustment, and variable-intensity pulsation. An optional wireless remote lets you control engine start/stop, jetting on/off, and throttle from away from the machine.

The portability kit includes wheels, folding handles, and a wheel brake, but the machine doesn't have to stay a cart. Jetters Northwest states that the portability kit can be removed to convert the unit into a mountable skid, giving you flexibility if your equipment setup changes down the road.

Hydro Jetter FAQs

How Do I Choose Between a Cart, Skid, or Trailer Jetter?

The right jetter depends on the type of work you do, how often you jet, and how you want to transport your equipment. Cart jetters are portable, cost-effective, and easy to move between service vehicles, making them a great fit for residential and light commercial work. Skid-mounted jetters are installed in a truck or van, keeping your equipment ready to go while providing higher-flow options, onboard water, and efficient deployment. Trailer jetters offer larger water capacity and higher GPM options, making them well suited for heavy commercial, industrial, municipal, and larger mainline applications.

What's the difference between a gas-powered jetter and an electric mini-jetter?

Gas-powered sewer jetters deliver higher PSI and GPM than most electric models, providing the cleaning power needed for larger lines and tougher blockages. Plumber-focused gas jetters typically produce around 3,000–4,000 PSI at 4–5 GPM, while larger rooter-class machines may deliver 7–12 GPM or more.

Electric mini-jetters are a great choice for indoor applications, smaller drain lines, and jobs where portability and lower noise are important. Gas-powered jetters are the next step up for larger drain lines, mainlines, and demanding outdoor work.

Not sure which setup is right for your application? We can help you choose.

Is it better to buy or rent a sewer jetter?

For professionals who regularly handle drain and sewer cleaning, purchasing a sewer jetter often makes more financial sense than renting. Owning your equipment keeps the right jetter ready when you need it and can quickly pay for itself as jetting becomes a regular part of your services.

Not ready to commit? Seattle Pump offers jetter rentals, giving you the opportunity to rent before you buy. It’s a great way to put a machine to work on real jobs and determine what best fits your needs before making the investment.

If upfront cost is a concern, financing can also make ownership more manageable. Monthly payments may be comparable to—or even less than—the cost of renting multiple times throughout the year.

Do I need a large water tank with a portable gas jetter?

Most portable, cart-style gas jetters can operate using a standard garden hose connection at the job site. Depending on the machine, the water supply may feed the pump directly or flow through a built-in buffer tank designed to maintain a consistent supply on higher-GPM models.

Larger water tanks are generally used on higher-flow skid and trailer jetters or when working in locations without a reliable water source. For most residential and light commercial drain cleaning applications, access to a standard hose connection is typically all you need.

What size lines can a gas jetter handle?

For most residential and light commercial drain cleaning, a gas jetter producing around 3,000 PSI at 5 GPM is a good fit for common 3"–4" lines. Heavier 4" lines and 6" or larger pipes typically benefit from 7 GPM or more, providing greater impact for tougher blockages such as roots and more water volume for flushing debris from the line.

As a general rule, match the jetter’s GPM to the pipe sizes and applications you handle most often. Higher GPM provides greater cleaning and flushing power, which becomes increasingly important as pipe diameter and blockage severity increase.

Can I use a gas jetter indoors?

Standard gas-powered jetters should not be operated indoors because their combustion engines produce carbon monoxide. However, they can still be used to clean indoor drain lines by keeping the jetter outside and running an extension or secondary jetter hose into the building.

Propane-powered cart jetters offer another option for indoor applications. Models specifically designed and approved for indoor use can provide the higher performance of a combustion-powered cart jetter while operating in environments where gasoline engines aren't appropriate. Always follow the manufacturer's ventilation and indoor-use requirements.

For smaller indoor drain lines and lighter blockages, electric jetters are often the most convenient option. For larger lines, tougher blockages, exterior cleanouts, sewer mains, and other demanding applications, gas or propane-powered equipment may provide the additional GPM and cleaning power needed.
